Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
1. Notice of collection
This notice describes the categories of information BlueFin collects and how each is used, as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
2. What we don't collect
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into any tool — revenue, costs, labor figures, ingredient prices, anything else — are never transmitted to a server, never logged, and never stored anywhere by BlueFin. You can verify this yourself using your browser's developer tools (Network tab) while using any calculator.
3. What we do collect
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4): anonymous, aggregate usage data — pages visited, approximate location (city/region level), device type, and referral source. This data is not linked to anything you enter into a calculator.
- Advertising (Google AdSense, where enabled):on pages showing an ad unit, Google may process advertising identifiers and browsing data to deliver and measure ads, per Google's own advertising policies. This never includes anything you type into a calculator.
- Cookie preference:a first-party cookie recording whether you've acknowledged our cookie notice or opted out of analytics and advertising — a simple boolean, not personal data.
- Contact form submissions: if you use our contact form, your name, email, and message are forwarded to our transactional email provider so we can respond. We do not store these submissions in a database ourselves.
4. Categories of personal information (CCPA/CPRA)
Under CCPA/CPRA, the categories of personal information we may process are limited to: identifiers (name, email address, if you contact us) and internet activity information (analytics data described above). We do not collect financial account information, biometric data, precise geolocation, or any of the calculator inputs you provide while using our tools.
5. Do not sell or share my personal information
BlueFin does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Depending on how "sharing" is defined under CCPA/CPRA, our use of Google Analytics and — on pages where enabled — Google AdSense could be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. You can opt out of both at any time using the "Do not sell or share" control in our cookie banner, or via the manage-preferences option there.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an immediate, automatic opt-out request — no additional action is required on your part.
6. Your rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of sale/sharing, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Because BlueFin collects minimal personal information (only what's described above), most requests can be satisfied by contacting us directly.
7. Third parties
Google Analytics and, where enabled, Google AdSense (both Google LLC) process anonymous usage and advertising data per Google's own privacy and advertising policies. Our transactional email provider processes contact form submissions per its own retention policy. We do not share data with any other third party.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests regarding your personal information, can be sent through our Contact page.
